Jasper Platz - Investor

Jasper Platz brings over 12 years of founder and operator experience to his role as an investor at G2 Venture Partners. His startup journey began in the early climate tech years working at Serious Materials, a low-carbon drywall company. In 2009, he co-founded Gen110, a residential solar company, where he worked closely with Sunrun to launch the first zero-down PPA in the US. Gen110 was backed by Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth fund and sold to SolarUniverse in 2013. Post acquisition, he worked as the VP of Operations at SolarUniverse supporting a national network of installers. He played a key role in raising over $90M in venture capital from Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, Shasta and Cowboy Ventures. His latest venture was Summon, a developer productivity app, that was backed by NextView, Haystack and Scott Belsky among others.

Jasper holds a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of St. Andrews, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
